The United Neighborhood Organization (UNO) is a grassroots non-profit organization that has engaged Chicagoland Hispanics in American civic life for over twenty years. UNO works with more than 13,000 individuals each year in the areas of education, parent involvement, leadership training, immigration, health care, and economic development.
Also a long-time advocate on issues of education, UNO put its philosophies to the test by establishing the Octavio Paz Charter School in 1998. Because of the continued academic success at Octavio Paz, UNO has replicated its model to ten other Chicago campuses, one of them being a high school. UNO Charter Schools currently serve about 5,400 kindergarten through eighth grade students across the city and about 600 freshmen through seniors at the UNO Major Hector P. Garcia, M.D. Charter High School. UNO's expansion efforts have continued in 2011 with the opening of two additional elementary campuses and will continue for the future.
Below is the link to apply for an education position at the UNO Charter School Network. Please note applications will only be accepted and considered if they are fully complete.
