UNO’s average daily attendance rate for the 2009-2010 school year was 97% (compared to CPS’s 92%). Our schools consistently outperform its neighborhood comparison on the ISAT test according to the 2009-2010 version of CPS’ Office of New Schools’ annual Charter and Contract Schools Performance Report.

2011 – 2012 Statistics:
• UNO will serve around 5,400 students in ten elementary schools and one high school.
• 95% of UNO students are Hispanic (compared to 44% for CPS).
• 29% of UNO students are limited English proficient (compared to 14% for CPS).
• 93% of UNO students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch (compared to 84% for CPS).
